Description

Try these Bulgogi TVP Lettuce Wraps for a delicious, plant-based twist on a Korean classic. Packed with savory flavors, this healthy recipe is perfect for a light and satisfying meal!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup TVP (textured vegetable protein)
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce (low-sodium)
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • 1/4 small yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper


Instructions

  1. Reconstitute TVP per instructions.
  2. Mix together in a bowl soy sauce,
    white of chopped green onions,
    yellow onions, honey, garlic, sesame
    seeds, 1 Tbsp sesame oil, red pepper,
    ginger, black pepper, TVP and
    mix well. Then cover the mixture and let
    refrigerate for 1 hour.
  3. To a medium hot wok or skillet, heat
    up 1 Tbsp sesame oil and then add TVP
    mixture above and cook for 5-7
    minutes.
  4. Serve on lettuce or on top of your
    favorite Asian salad, noodles, or rice

Notes

For serving: 1 head of butter lettuce (Romain will work as well)
